Over the years, I have written many articles. Many of these are not available online. I have lost track of most of those. Of all my articles that are available online, I have tried to collate as many as possible and have posted the same here.
While the topics of my articles are varied, Indian economy remains my focus.
If you ask me, I have tremendous faith on the potential of the Indian economy. My worry? The potential should not remain so but should become a reality. We still have a long way to go to achieve the same and our policy makers are not making our lives any easier. You may say that India is a celebrated part of the BRIC economies or even a standout economy on its own, dishing out enviable growth numbers. Scratch deeper and you will be exposed to various inefficiencies and unimaginative policy making that may force you to tear your hair in frustration. The Indian growth story is more a story of growth than of development. As the good Doctor (who else but our Prime Minister) feels, the Indian growth story is seemingly devoid of the human face. Is such a growth warranted? If the teeming millions continue to be abysmally poor, underfed and under-nourished, India would continue to be a developing economy and not a developed one.
I love my country and I hate to see us fritter away our advantage, year after year. Most of my articles are a reflection of my anguish as our policymakers are hell bent on proving that they are politicians first and maybe, policy makers last. As I keep on saying, the Indian economy has been growing despite our politicians, not because of them.
The articles are segregated as per the year of publication, latest first. The section 'others' contains articles published earlier. A click on the links below will take you to the articles and reports published during that particular year.
